Products start with a vision, but quickly evolve into a list of Technical Requirements.
- Many of those have to do with performance: how loud is the speaker? How bright the light? How long-lived the battery?
- Others have to do with toughness: the product must survive harsh environments, user abuse, and the passage of time.
We must demonstrate compliance with every single requirement. That is done by rigorously defining a Validation Plan to test each one. Porticos then engineers the product to pass those tests as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. If the cost of compliance is too high then we work with our clients to redefine the tests; a cost-engineering exercise.
