Not all net-shape parts are made of plastic; numerous alternatives exist. One common approach to high-volume metal parts is die casting. Most suitable for aluminum, zinc, or magnesium parts, die casting allows us many of the benefits of injection molding, but with a much stronger and more thermally conductive material.
