Senior Mechanical Engineer

Mike applies his skills to product design and technical development at Porticos. He enjoys solving complex engineering and multidisciplinary problems and has a passion for making products better.

Mike has 14 years experience in new product development and product innovation, with products ranging from consumer electronics to precision test equipment to drug delivery devices, in environments ranging from major global corporations (IBM, GlaxoSmithKline), a small privately owned company (Troxler), new ventures (Oriel Therapeutics, Embrex), and a non-profit research corporation (RTI International). He holds several patents (with several more pending) in these areas.

Mike earned a BS in Physics at the University of North Carolina and a MS in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University.
